Construction: ,,Mechanised renewal of the railway line in the “Ruse distribution – Obraztsov Chiflik” intersection, from km. ⁰⁺⁸²³ to km. ¹⁰⁺²⁰⁵ with a length of 9 349 m.” is a part of the 9th main railway line “Ruse distribution – Kaspichan”, on the territory of the Municipality of Ruse in the Ruse Region and is related to the implementation of the program of the State Enterprise NKVHI to ensure reliability, security and safety of train traffic and is a major repair (by mechanised renewal) of the railway and the facilities in the working section, including:

Iron Road:

• Replacement of the superstructure of the track – the rail-track grating and the fastening material, with a heavy type(sleepers CT-6, baseless elastic fastening SKL-14 and rails type 60 E1);
  • screening and adjusting to standard ballast prism size, with planning and compaction;

Contact network

For the renewal of the Contact Network the following main activities have been implemented:

• Picketing of a pole line;
• Straightening of pillar BMK 37/11,15;
• Straightening and a pillar BMK 57/11,15;
• Uprighting of pillar MPC 7/8;
• Straightening and a pillar MH25/12;
• Making of anchors;
• Replacement of contact conductor CET 100 ^mm2;
• Replace strings and string terminals with equi-potentials;
• Replacement of consoles;
• Installation of new safety nets on overpasses;
• Replacement of three-roll compensators with gas compensators;
• Removal of trees and shrubs disturbing the electric gauge, with removal;
• Signalling with signs “Caution! Danger of electric shock” on the elect. Pillars;
• Numbering and dating of poles;
• Regulations of the CP

Sectional Post Ruse – Management of disconnectors.

In order to modernize the system for remote control of the motor drives was built and the high power electrics were renewed. Facilities. The system ensures operation in the statutory modes and performs the following functions:

• Telecontrol (TC) and Telesignalling (TS) of the facilities;
• Security (SO);
• equipment resource and failure monitoring;
• control of the timing of each SR cycle.

A communication module is installed in the OT switchboard in Ruse distribution station, providing connection of the control system to SCADA. It is compatible with SIMATIC S7-1200 for communication via IEC 60870-5-104 protocol, with cyber protection (Firewall, VPN).

Expected effect of the construction:

restoring the design speed of 80 km/h and ensuring safety, reliability, increasing the capacity and throughput of train traffic in the section – part of the main lines of the railway infrastructure of the Republic of Bulgaria,
