The Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Georgi Todorov and the Director General of NKZI Eng. Krasimir Papukchiyski launched the modernization of the railway section Orizovo-Mikhailovo, part of the large-scale project "Rehabilitation of the railway line Plovdiv-Burgas, Phase 2".

The modernization of the railway section Orizovo - Mihailovo has started. The project is implemented with funds from the European Regional Development Fund through OP Transport and Transport Infrastructure and national co-financing.

Today, on the eve of one of the holiest Christian holidays, the reconstruction of the second largest railway station in Sofia - Poduyane station, is already a fact. The railway station Poduyane was built in 1930 and until 2019 no major renovation was carried out. The Poduyane station complex is part of the Sofia-Plovdiv railway line, which is the busiest in the country. The number of arriving and departing passengers on this route is around 1.4 million.
