Project Description

Reconstruction and Electrification of the Railway Line Dimitrovgrad – Svilengrad, Phase 4.1: Dimitrovgrad – Harmanli. Section No. 1 Dimitrovgrad Station (from km 231+560 to km 234+290); Part: Overhead Contact Line within Dimitrovgrad Station Freight Yard. Electrification of Dimitrovgrad Station Freight Yard.

Construction: Group 2, Category 1
The entire track sections numbered 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, as well as their adjacent switches in the direction of Dimitrovgrad Passenger Station, have been electrified. All switches leading to track sections numbered 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 in the direction of Dimitrovgrad Passenger Station have been electrified, and the tracks themselves have been partially electrified for about 200 meters. The parallel track of Track 10 in the direction of Haskovo and switches numbered 147-150 have also been electrified. For the electrification of Dimitrovgrad Station Freight Yard, the following have been supplied and installed:

1. Concrete pillars and steel pillars of types Mr1, Mr2, and Mr3
2. Foundations for concrete pillars and steel pillars of types FMp1, FMp2, and Mp3
3. Anchors AS Fm3-1 and anchor weights
4. Half-compensating devices of type "Baraban" with Diepa rope f9.5 and fastenings for steel pillars
5. 1250 A remote isolator
6. Motor drive for isolator control
7. Control panel for remote isolator in Dimitrovgrad Station Freight Yard
8. Signals for the contact network
9. Section insulators

After the electrification, improvements have been made in train movement, freight handling, and shunting operations in the station.
